GPTeamNet for CCGs Overview
If you are working within a CCG in almost any role, your world is probably in a constant state of change. As an organisation you’re establishing your identity and working out how to co-ordinate and support your practices. Your practices may be asking you to provide support that has been traditionally provided by PCTs. You know that you need ways to manage and share information.
GPTeamNet can help you manage your flood of information, communicate and support your practice teams. It’s a portal for managing all kinds of non-patient information - developed specifically for, and in conjunction with, General Practices and CCGs.
The role based interface makes sure the right people see the right information and it allows you to easily collate and disseminate information. With a very simple and easy to use interface, users require minimal IT skills to use or update the system.
“GPTeamNet is a solution that we use across the CCG and our member practices. It allows us to share information easily and gives us the tools we need to support and work with our practices. I would recommend GPTeamNet to a CCG looking for a solution that enables sharing, collaboration, and communication with practices.”

Share information between practices, while offering each practice their own “portal”
GPTeamNet provides each practice team with their own “portal” for their non-patient information. The powerful sharing features merge the shared items with the internal practice ones. Practice staff, for example, can look at a single list of guidelines relevant to them without having to think about whether they are maintained by the practice or elsewhere.
Avoid duplicating identical documents in every practice
A huge proportion of the documents that a practice will process, file or update every week are the same ones being processed by all the other practices in the group. This is clearly wasted time and effort. GPTeamNet allows one practice (or one central group) to filter and maintain documents on behalf of the entire group. And it goes further, allowing the same sharing for the practice diary, announcements and contacts. The CCG can update a common phone number knowing that it instantly be updated in every practice in the group.
Share common processes and best practices
Many of the processes in any group of practices could actually be synchronised, especially if some practices have a more mature version. At the simplest level, your group could agree a single “needle stick injury” protocol and maintain it once for the whole group. Perhaps more significantly, as CCGs policies firm up, GPTeamNet allows the publication and maintenance of new CCG wide policies and protocols. These can appear automatically on the appropriate parts of the practice GPTeamNet solution, along with practice generated ones.
Establish and support your community of practices
For established groups, GPTeamNet’s commenting and discussion features allow focussed discussion and feedback, especially if you can’t make the time to get together. For newly formed groups, GPTeamNet also provides a powerful focus for the practices to learn how to share and work together.
Manage CCG information
GPTeamNet for CCGs includes an additional portal specifically tailored for use by the CCG board and practice representatives. Here, you can keep CCG level documents, diary items, meeting details and announcements. By allowing practice representatives controlled access to this site, GPTeamNet can be a part of establishing the CCG identity.
